BGCC 1st XI vs
Bromyard
Bromyard’s visit to
North End Lane in this Div. 1 fixture of the Crusader W. C. L. was delayed
by heavy rain. The planned 12-30pm start was hence set back until 3 oclock,
by which time the match had been reduced to a 28 over per side contest.
Bromyard won the toss, and put Barnards Green in, on a very damp wicket.
Rich Williams and Kev. Golder made another strong start, making 79 in the
first 14 overs before Rich. Williams was stumped by wicket keeper Tom Groves
off the bowling of P. Ford for 28. Kev Golder went on to make 55 not out,
with Adam Binks playing a supporting roll, as the rain returned, causing the
match to be abandoned at 4-20 with Green’s score on 92 for 1
