Ombersley vs BGCC 2nd XI Sunday saw Barnards
Green 2nds visit Ombersley on a hot and sticky afternoon. Ombersley batted
first and made a disastorous start against some tight
Green bowling and at 24 for 4 off 16 overs things looked grim for the home
team. Kingsley Warren bowled a good tight line picking up 1 for 10 off his
7 overs and Anschuman returned creditable figures of 2 for 15 off his 9.
Jamie Longmore bowled Barrett with his first ball, but then Shuck and Haggar
began to rebuild the innings. Shuck was particularly brutal on anything
short or overpitched but on 88 he was run out after some excellent work by
Adam Price who patrolled the boundary conscientiously all afternoon. Hagar
then fell for 51 to Hill who got hot and flustered losing his usually
impeccable line and Dave Price took a sharpe caught and bowled to dismiss
White. After 45 overs Ombersley finished on a creditable 202.
