Barnards
Green under 13’s vs Old Elizabethans Barnards Green
under 13’s recently entertained Old Elizabethans U.13’s and overwhelmed their
opposition to win by 64 runs. Batting
first, the top four batsmen Liam Paddock, Richard Tuck, Phil Harris and Lewis
Hooper all passed 30 and had to retire.
All four showed good application running well between the wickets and
punishing any bad balls. Ben Marks
7no and Adam Price 5no then took the score on to 149 without loss. In
reply, OE’s stuck to their task with Stephen Fagg scoring a solid 22 and Jack
Hunt a flowing 30 before having to retire with Rice finishing on 19no. All the Green bowlers kept a tidy line
with Jamie Ferguson picking up two wickets and Richard Tuck one, whilst Chris
Houlston behind the stumps continues to improve with each game. O.E’s finished on a respectable 85 off
their 20 overs. |
