State Northern Knights all-rounder Daniel Flynn has been whisked into the BLACKCAPS side as a replacement for the injured Jacob Oram for the second National Bank Twenty20 against England at AMI Stadium, Christchurch.The 22-year-old left-hand batsman and left-arm spinner has been an in-form player for the Knights in all aspects of the game all season.Flynn, who captained the New Zealand Under-19 side to the Youth World Cup in Bangladesh in 2004, averages over 40 in one-day games this season and over 50 in first-class matches.He raised that 50-over average with a career-best 149 against Canterbury Wizards in the State Shield just hours before his call-up.Sir Richard Hadlee, selection manager for the BLACKCAPS, felt Flynn's innings indicated his explosive power where he hit the ball both to and over the boundary. 
"This is a great opportunity to introduce another exciting young player into the BLACKCAPS squad,” he said.“His innings today was at better than run-a-ball and as a left-hander he will fit beautifully into our middle order at No. 6 or 7," he said.
