BGCC under 12s vs Worcester Nomads

Barnards Green Under 12s was given a harsh lesson by a very strong Worcester Nomads team. On very hot and sultry Sunday morning the Barnards Green bowling and fielding held up very well against some strong and technically correct batting. Curtis and Fahy both reached thirty and retired but Le Gros responded by bowled Doorbar first ball to gain their first wicket. Wilkinson found it difficult to penetrate the field but kept the scoreboard ticking. Kyte took a good catch to dismiss Warren but Nomads finished on 126 from their 20 overs.

The Nomads bowling attack was better than any the Green boys had faced and they struggled to gain any momentum. It was only extras that kept the scoreboard moving and a constant fall wickets meant the batters could never realistically challenge the Nomads score. Freeman defended his wicket well lasting seven overs and Bonomini struck two lovely shots through the offside but the inevitable could not be delayed as the Green were all out for 24 in fourteen overs.
