BGCC Under 15s vs Worcester Nomads

Barnards Green u.15's recently entertained Worcester Nomads at Newland and came away winners by 64 runs.  Batting first, the Green openers got the innings off to a good start with Phil Harris playing some beautiful shots all around the wicket before getting a beauty from Chris Elsdon which he could only edge through to keeper Brain.  Lewis Hoper then continued the onslaught hitting a quickfire 45 before being caught by Webb off Jack Watkins.  Skipper Liam Paddock had been plodding along nicely whilst his partners were crashing the ball to the boundary, but he then joined the party and put on a first class display of batting belittling his tender years to finish on 76 not out ably supported by Max White who cleverly gave Paddock the strike and the Green finished on a very respectable 151 with Chris Elsdon the pick of the bowlers with 1 for 12 off his 4 overs.  All credit to the Nomads feilders however as they stuck to their task well.
In reply, Nomads could never get to grips with the Green bowling and were unable to pick up the boundaries required.  Jack Brain (30) and Sam Roberts (15) did their best to push the score along, but they never really threatened to challenge the Grens total.  Adam Price and Simon Ball both picked up a wicket a piece and the Greens groundfielding was excellent with Chris Freeman, Andy Tighe, Caine Burge and Mat Higgs leading the way.
